Cooking Classes

“You name the country, I’ll teach the food!”

I have been cooking for 61 years of my life and teaching in the Denver-Boulder area for over 26 years. I have taught at the Cooking School of the Rockies, the Cooking School of Aspen, the Seasoned Chef Cooking School in Denver, What’s Cooking in Lafayette, and Naropa University in Boulder. I have a lifelong passion for teaching and sharing my love of healthy, delicious food!

What I Teach

I teach real Ayurvedic cuisine from India, as well as genuine World Cooking, including French, German, Russian, British, Mexican, Chinese, and Italian cuisines. I teach traditional meat dishes, but I can also help you create the most exquisite Vegan, Vegetarian, Organic, and Gluten-Free meals. Just let me know your preference.

If you are not sure where to begin, or even scared of your own kitchen(!), you should take cooking classes from me. I’ll help you learn simple cooking skills to put a fabulous dinner on your table. You will learn basic culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, pan grilling, roasting, sautéing, steaming, simple sauces, and oven baking.

I also teach easy-to-prepare full meals that are very tasty. Pick what you wish to learn from my website, or choose your food. Bring your spouse or friends! You name the country, I’ll teach the food.

About Classes

Classes take place in my commercial kitchen, or your own home.

Classes typically last four hours and include a full meal, printed recipes, ingredients, and a certificate of completion. You will learn how each dish should taste, smell, and look. We’ll also have some lively discussions about each country and their food-related customs. Learning with me is a fun, entertaining, creative affair to remember!

I can accommodate up to fives students per class in my facility, which is just 10 minutes from Boulder. For private classes (one or two people) or larger groups (more than five), please call 720-340-4099 or contact me by email to discuss arrangements.

I offer a three-class exploration of the foods from any region, upon request. (Five student minimum per class.)

Classes are usually held from 6:30 to 10:30 pm, though weekend or daytime classes can be arranged.

Group classes cost is $165 per student.
